Ethereal Waters
Last week, along with my cousin i had been to a small village called Bhivpuri. She wanted to show me the place since she has her college there and insisted that its beautiful. Since i had an off we made the plan impromptu and set off.
Its quite close to Mumbai, so we went by train. It was roughly a 2 hour journey from Mumbai. On reaching there I saw to my own eyes just how green that place was. It was so cooling to the eyes. I couldn't take my eyes off the nature around. Bhivpuri is famous waterfalls, and though its only the beginning of the monsoon, we could already see the waterfalls flowing freely among the mountains. I couldn't wait to reach there :)
The mountains are close to the station so we walked, and trust me you wont feel even a bit tired. Its a place so heavenly that you would want to wander aimlessly. The trek in itself is not at all difficult. Its very easy and it was filled with people of all ages when i had been. My little cousin was initially cribbing about climbing a mountain but as we started up-hill, she too was excited looking at all the explicit beauty around :)
On reaching the waterfall we realized the magic of this place. The water was so cool that you are instantly filled with excitement to delve further. It was filled with boys and girls. All screaming and having fun to the fullest. Oh this place is full of energy! Its a paradise like no other. One just cannot hold themselves from entering the waters. Lying there, submerged neck deep into the wet bliss, you definitely will find inner peace.
Just being under the gushing water filled my soul with so much happiness that perhaps i cant explain. This place is indeed magical. No matter how much you dive, swim, splash you would never get tired! So if you're looking for a quick getaway on the outskirts of Mumbai, Bhivpuri is the place for you.
