In-Tune with Nature....
Its strange how sometimes we find happiness in the simplest of things. Anyone whose visited nature early in the mornings knows what i am talking about. I sometimes go to National Park for a morning walk, and i could describe it in two words, pleasant and beautiful. Walking in the land of greens, dreaming under an open sky and feeling the cool breeze past you. Its a sight so rare in a metropolitan like Mumbai. My heart looks forward to these quaint early morning walks.
I am not much of an early riser, but whenever i am awake in the wee hours of the morning i make it a point to wear my joggging shoes and rush to the National park, presicsely at the break of dawn. I find the transition from darkness to light so so beautiful, its mesmerising. Its a shade of violet and it changes every moment. Colors make me happy and early mornings are a true kalaiedoscope.
On reaching national park, i let the soft first rays of sun fall on my face. It feels warm in the chilly weather. Its a sight so enigmatic, the feiry orange ball of fire rising slowly from the horizon. A new day has come. The hills of national park are charming and quite. All i can see around is joggers, young boys and girls to people as old as my grandparents. Everyone walking briskly. I reach atop the hill to sit on what is known as Gandhi Tekdi, its the highest point of the hill and there too, you find people of all ages doing yoga and various other kind of exercises. However, the best part about the place is sitting on the steps and overlooking the burb down below, everything looks so tiny and childlike. And up above is the clear blue sky, occasionally i see an aircraft flying by. Well, dont they say the best things in life come for free, well it is definetly true in case of nature. Its hard to be midst it and untouched by its beauty.
There is also a river which goes through the park, its called Mithi nadi. The calm water and the unhurried breeze will keep you occupied for hours without a companion, mp3 or moblile. You automatically get engulfed in nature and fall in love with its serenenity. Heading into the lap of nature is an excellent idea for physical as well as mental fitness. It teaches you that there is a world outside of the idiot box and the i-phone. The seemingly cool and calm waters introduce you to thier fascinating color pallete where blues and greens arent just hues but spell the wonders of non-photoshopped nature...
