My Passage to United Kingdom
I arrived in London on a hot summer day for work purpose. From where i came 20 degrees is not what we called "summer"! First impressions of this country was that it was so neat and so pretty. I made a grueling flight for seven and a half hours and needed to calm my nerves. The greenery all along the motorway did just that and more. I was put up in Southampton which is a quite and serene town two hours away from the city of London. All over I could see green fields and beautiful architecture. The people over here were especially warm. My driver was a very sweet guy who made sure there wasn't a single dull moment throughout the journey. The house that i stayed in was a beautiful villa and the hosts were kind and friendly. They made sure i had everything i needed. Brits are known for their sarcasm but i did not experience it at least on my first visit! Some pictures from the sky..

See what i mean? UK is really clean and green. With such wonderful people around. You can roam through the streets without a having anyone bother you. Anyways my first visit was only for two days since it was all business, but it turned out to be a good one. I liked the serenity of the place, the smiles on peoples faces and also their accents! I wished i could actually live there, the quality of life in the UK is so high. The milk, the bread, even butter is so fresh that eating itself becomes a pleasurable experience. I was served fresh fruits from the farm and it was oh-so-yummy! I was completely impressed by what this country had to offer and living and talking to the locals made it even more better. Really i would love to have a country side house over here someday where you could just relax and unwind. The mind is void of all the out-worldly things and you feel a sense of peace coming through. Isn't this what we all crave for? I was alone on this trip but it made me feel so wholesome,so connected with my true self. You can have all the richness in the world but if you feel empty inside, the its a lost cause.
Anyways, so i did comeback to the UK and this time around i wasn't alone, i came with my partner. And turns out he's a much better planner than i am! Oh what an incredible journey it was. It was cold, not bone chilling but still cold. The weather was simply beautiful and the cold just added a hint of naughtiness to it. We explored London for a good five days and i must say, yet again this country, this city just blew me away. The people of London are so damn good looking! Tall, pink cheeks, warm smiles and what a sense of fashion! We traveled the Tube and i could not help but notice all the people. Every Tom, Dick and Harry looked good to me! And the transportation is really good there, its one of the largest metro networks in the world but its so efficient. Well, i don't have any pictures of the underground to share right now, Maybe next time. But i do have some pictures of the ever delightful city.
The beautiful bridges of London, perfect for a late evening romantic walk. Built centuries ago but still so appealing. Its like you can pick any architecture in London and still admire it for as long as you desire. Brits really do their job well!
We went for a River Cruise, and i wondered how civilized these people truly are. The river was so clean, there was no littering, people actually follow rules! Men are chivalrous, kids are well behaved and well women, they are simply pretty! The cruise was nice, the sun was crisp and the air was chilly but lovely.
We were lucky to witness the changing the guard parade at the Buckingham palace. It was anything but royal.
