A Love Story

Sameer and Sonia are colleagues. He is a successful person at the top of his profession. He is also a kind hearted person. Sonia ,on other hand, is a naïve girl who has recently joined a male dominated field, she is an introvert and doesn’t speak much. Both of them don’t speak a lot in the formative months of her joining, but as destiny had it, they hit it off really well once they started interacting. For her, he was a very helpful colleague, she admired him and respected him. And for him, she was a confused girl who wouldn't open up. She called him every time she was stuck in a situation at work, she was sure that no matter what, he was the one who would always help her. And he always did it gladly.

Soon the friendship grew, and they started chatting all day over the phone. She started liking him a lot. He came to know that she wasn’t really an introvert, she talked and talked and talked. She told him every little thing that happened during the day, and he would always listen with a keen ear. She had found a confidante in him. They began to go out for movies, to beaches, to temples and they had found a true friend in each other. He would always be honest with her, tell her stories about his past, his Love and his family. And she was indeed very much interested in what he had to say.

She never really thought that they could be a couple, she was happy just to have him as a good friend. But she always knew that he was one of the finest men around and whoever would marry him, would be very lucky. Whereas he, had just started to have more and more fondness for her. They could talk about anything, absolutely anything under the sun, knowing that the other person wont judge and make conclusions. He made her feel absolutely divine. Making her feel as if she was the only one. Treat her with utmost care and respect. She was the one girl whom he really had gone out with, shared feelings with. Never before had he come any close to a girl. He would listen to her all day, and in the night ponder all over what she had said. Maybe it was the talking that really made him fall for her. He felt close to her with each passing day. And he became surer of his Love for her.
